Cakefilm was one of the many projects I worked on during my employment at Bolden. Key focuspoints in this case were the huge amount of content and the tools to manage that content.

Portfolio grid page tool

The people at cakefilm are creatives themselves and we knew as an agency, creative clients like to have a lot of content control. For us it was the challenge to create the artist portfolio pages with a tool in the CMS to generate dynamic portfolio pages. This tool made it possible to specify for each portfolio item the size and vertical alignment specs. for the grid item. Which makes really playfully grids possible. Like this one or this one.

Each of the highlighted items lead the user to custom made full screen projects carousel.

Full screen projects media carousel

The media carousel is made with vue.js. The carousel makes it possible to full screen experience the content of each project from the artist without the need of reopening and -closing after the user reached the last image or video of a portfolio item. With custom API endpoints we requested the next or prev. portfolio item just before the user reached the last image or video of a project. After the user reached the last item, the carousel would bring you immediately to the next portfolio item.
